Chad Hixson, Pastor
Chad Hixson came to Providence as Pastor in July of 2008. He has been serving local churches in a full time capacity since 2000 and as Pastor since 2003.
Chad holds an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy from Chattanooga State, a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from The Baptist College of Florida, and a Master of Divinity from Liberty Theological Seminary. His passion is to effectively communicate the unchanging truths of God’s word in this ever changing world.
Chad and his wife Christy were married in June of 1997 and they have two daughters, Julia Claire and Jenna Cate, and a son, Jace. While being a committed mother and member of Providence Baptist Church, Christy also serves as the Media Specialist at Windham Elementary School. The Hixsons consider themselves blessed to be ministering among a people who love God and truly desire to glorify Him.
Barbara Wade, Youth Director
Since moving to the Wiregrass area in 2004, Barbara Wade has been an active member in youth group leadership and activities at Providence Baptist Church. In April 2006, Barbara became the Youth Director and PACT 24/7 was established.
As a bi-vocational youth leader, Barbara spends her work week as an attorney in both Ozark and Dothan, Alabama. It was in law school where she met her husband, Eric Wade, who also practices in the legal profession in Dothan. The two were married in January 2005 and welcomed their daughter, Abigail, into the world in February 2007. On May 14, 2010, their twin daughters, Reagan and Blaire were born.
The Wades enjoy worshipping, fellowshipping and studying God's word with the church and community.
