FAQ
We hope that you will join us in Christian worship and fellowship at Providence. Here are some answers...just in case you have questions! Where is Providence located? We are in Clayhatchee, Alabama, about 6 miles south of Daleville, at the intersection of State highways 92 and 85. Click here for additional directions and a map. Is childcare provided? Nursery is available for babies up to age 2 during all Sunday services. In addition, children through 3rd grade are invited to Children's Church after the song service during the morning worship. This helps them transition to "big church" while providing additional learning activities appropriate for their learning level. How should I dress? There is no dress code. Some men wear suits and ties, some ladies wear their best dresses, and other prefer jeans. Our advice is to come dressed to worship! Where would I fit in? With classes and organizations for every age group, there is sure to be a place for you and your family! Feel free to visit one or more Sunday School classes to find the place where you feel most comfortable. How will I know where to go? Greeters will meet you at the door to help you figure out what class to attend and answer your questions. If you have infants, they will help you find the nursery. What can I expect from the worship services? Bro. Chad believes that his calling is to preach the gospel, and that is indeed the focus of worship services. At the end of each service there is an altar call. This is a time when many people make the decision to follow Christ by accepting Him as their Lord and Savior. Others may come forward to pray at the altar. Bro. Chad and other Christian counselors are available to pray with you during this time. What kind of music is used? We include a variety of music in our worship services, including gospel and contemporary, but rely heavily on traditional, uplifting hymns. There is both a praise team and a choir. We are blessed with talented musicians and encourage you to participate, whether you are a singer or an instrumentalist. What happens on Wednesday nights? Wednesday night activities include a Bible study and prayer time led by Bro. Chad. At the same time, the mission groups meet for activities.
